Description
The Pilot Project Grant at Western Washington University (WWU) is designed to support projects that launch new, high-impact directions in research, creative expression, or scholarship. The program is open to all disciplines and encourages proposals that are fundamentally new for the principal investigator (PI), fostering opportunities that may not traditionally be associated with sponsored research. Supported activities include proof-of-principle studies, planning meetings, site visits, and preliminary data collection, especially for interdisciplinary collaborations. The aim is to seed sustainable, innovative ventures rather than fund ongoing or routine activities.
