Description
The Plastic Surgery Foundation’s Pilot Research Grants support residents, fellows, and junior faculty pursuing focused research questions in plastic surgery. The program funds preliminary or pilot work intended to generate data for larger grant proposals and establish a line of investigation that can continue into an academic career, rather than support an already established research program.
Projects that serve as a prelude to NIH or other external funding are encouraged. Senior investigators are encouraged to use other funding mechanisms, but may apply when proposing a new research concept or novel idea that has received no prior funding. The foundation seeks to build a diverse, committed, inclusive, and self-sustaining plastic surgery research community.
