Description
The Resnick Sustainability Institute (RSI) at Caltech runs the Pioneer Postdoctoral Fellowship to recruit outstanding recent PhD graduates for research and training relevant to sustainability. Fellows gain access to cutting-edge facilities, training, and broad scientific and engineering expertise to address challenges and opportunities associated with climate change and the stewardship of natural resources.
Proposed work must fall broadly within RSI’s research areas. Its four interconnected research initiatives are Climate Science, Ecology and Biosphere Engineering, Sunlight-to-Everything, and Water Resources. The fellowship emphasizes the strength of the proposed research and its potential sustainability impact, asking applicants to identify relevant measures of global sustainability and quantify their project's potential global impact. The program aims to develop scientists and engineers who will become global leaders in sustainability research.
