--- ## Description The Jim and Linda Pivarnik Women’s Health, Sport & Physical Activity Travel Award assists members of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) with travel expenses to present scholarly work at the ACSM Annual Meeting. The focus is on research, clinical care, or other work centered on women’s health, sport, or physical activity. The award is made possible through the Women’s Health, Sport & Physical Activity Fund and its major donors. --- ## Due Dates - March 13, 2026: Submission deadline for applications --- ## Funding Amount - Each award is $1,000. - Three awards are given annually. Awards are issued directly to individuals and are considered taxable income under U.S. federal tax law if the total amount received from ACSM exceeds $600 in a year. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be an ACSM national member in good standing at the time of application (chapter membership alone does not qualify). - Open to: - Graduate and medical students enrolled full-time - Fellows - Early career members within two years of receiving a postgraduate degree or completing clinical training - All genders are welcome to apply. - Applicants must be the first author and presenter of a poster or oral presentation accepted at the ACSM Annual Meeting. - Previous recipients of this specific award are not eligible. --- ## Application Process - Submit your application via the [ACSM Application Portal](https://acsm.secure-platform.com/site/). - You must sign in with your ACSM ID to access the application. - Ensure you have an accepted poster or oral presentation at the ACSM Annual Meeting as first author/presenter. - Winners are required to attend the Josephine L. Rathbone & Barbara L.
