    Description

PNC Grow Up Great is the PNC Foundation’s signature bilingual early education initiative, launched in 2004 to help children from birth through age five prepare for success in school and life. The initiative reports having served more than 10 million children. Through partnerships with community-based nonprofits, its grants aim to improve school readiness and strengthen children, families, and communities where PNC lives and works.

Supported approaches include direct learning programs in classrooms or community settings, professional and workforce development for early childhood educators, and family or community engagement in early learning. Focus areas include math, science, reading, vocabulary development, the arts, financial education, and social-emotional development. Examples include educational museum visits connected to classroom lessons, early childhood outreach, and outdoor learning environments with educational or arts-based components.
