Description
The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) and Banco Popular de Puerto Rico support projects serving children, youth, and families in low to moderate income communities in the US Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands. The Popular VI Community Fund supports both new projects and ongoing programs providing direct services in youth education, youth economic empowerment, or the environment. Youth includes all ages up to 24.
Education projects must improve academics, encourage young people to stay in school, or provide financial education. Economic empowerment projects must support employment or vocational training, while environmental projects must focus on environmental work in the community. Applicants describe the problem being addressed, their response, expected results, how they will evaluate impact, and how the work will be sustained beyond the one-year grant.
