Description
The Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) School of Mathematics offers approximately 10 joint postdoctoral positions with partner universities. The program supports research in mathematics, computer science, and discrete mathematics through appointments shared with DIMACS at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and the Princeton University Department of Mathematics.
The IAS–DIMACS position focuses on computer science and discrete mathematics. The Princeton partnership offers the Veblen Research Instructorship across all areas of mathematics, combining teaching and research at Princeton with dedicated research time at IAS. Veblen candidates are also considered for the Bourgain Fellowship, which provides a longer joint appointment without teaching duties at Princeton. These arrangements offer distinct balances of research and teaching across the partner institutions.
