Description
The Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) School of Mathematics offers joint postdoctoral positions with DIMACS at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and the Princeton University Department of Mathematics. These appointments connect research at IAS with work at its partner institutions in mathematics, computer science, and discrete mathematics.
The program includes a two-year DIMACS joint position and the three-year Veblen Research Instructorship. Veblen candidates are also considered for the four-year Bourgain Fellowship. Appointment arrangements differ: Veblen researchers undertake teaching and research at Princeton before or after a research-focused year at IAS, while Bourgain fellows have no teaching duties during their Princeton years. During their time at IAS, researchers can devote themselves full-time to research, with on-campus housing and other resources available.
