Description
The Utah Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands (FFSL) supports post-fire restoration projects. Funding requests may cover work on state and private lands. Work on federal lands may also be considered when the state forester determines that rehabilitation there would directly benefit state and private lands.
Applicants are encouraged to use FFSL’s post-fire prioritization guidance when developing projects and to work with their FFSL area office staff throughout development. The Post-Wildfire Review Committee reviews requests as they arrive and prioritizes them; funding is awarded as approved at the state forester’s discretion.
