Description
Breakthrough T1D’s Postdoctoral Fellowships are designed to attract promising scientists at the early stages of their careers to type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. This fellowship supports the development of independent research skills through a mentored training environment and a structured research plan. Projects must be relevant to T1D and align with Breakthrough T1D’s research strategy, including areas such as diabetic eye, kidney, and cardiovascular disease.
Applicants must work with a sponsor who provides supervision and a robust training environment. The fellowship emphasizes a three-year postdoctoral training period, during which fellows are expected to devote at least 75% effort to their research project.
