Description
The la Caixa Foundation’s Postdoctoral Junior Leader programme supports excellent researchers continuing their careers in Spain or Portugal. It funds research in health and life sciences, technology, physics, chemistry, engineering and mathematics, with the aim of promoting high-quality, innovative research and developing independent researchers with scientific leadership potential.
The programme offers two modalities: Incoming, for projects at accredited research centres of excellence, and Retaining, for research at any university or research centre in Spain or Portugal. Each offers 20 three-year fellowships. Alongside research funding and employment at the host institution, fellows receive interdisciplinary training in innovation and leadership, undertake an international or intersectoral secondment, and join the foundation’s fellows network.
