Description
The Healthy Democracy Fund at Tides is a pooled fund and partnership among donors, program strategists, and movement leaders working to break down barriers in the US political system. It supports community-informed, multi-issue organizing and advocacy to fight voter suppression, increase voter turnout, and foster political engagement. Activities include voter education, nonpartisan voter registration drives, and outreach across language and cultural barriers.
The fund also supports efforts to protect voting rights, counter disinformation with accurate messaging, and hold politicians and media companies accountable. Working with local community leaders, it responds to emerging threats to democracy and backs underserved communities seeking durable change.
