The Prairie Disciple Award honors individuals who have made substantial, long-term contributions to the arts in the Southwest Minnesota region. The award is intended for arts supporters or advocates who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to supporting, promoting, and advancing the arts, whether through advocacy, volunteerism, or community engagement. Every other year, the award places a special emphasis on arts educators, but in 2027, nominations are open to all types of arts supporters. The award aims to recognize those whose impact has fostered creativity and arts appreciation within the region.
