The Pre-College Education Program supports teachers and K–12 students through STEM educator development and NASA-related activities that aim to attract students to STEM and sustain their interest.

Description
The Alaska Space Grant Program funds pre-college projects intended to attract and retain students in STEM through educational opportunities for students, teachers, and faculty. Projects may provide professional development for in-service or pre-service teachers that deepens their STEM content knowledge or builds their competence and confidence in teaching STEM.
Projects may also give K–12 students authentic, first-hand opportunities to participate in NASA mission activities or other NASA-related STEM activities. Student-focused proposals must explain how they will demonstrate increased interest in STEM careers or enrollment in STEM disciplines, using quantitative or qualitative evidence.
