Description
The Presidential Grant Program, established by the Davis Educational Foundation in 2015, provides flexible, low-barrier funding for college and university leaders to explore or pilot strategies aimed at improving institutional financial sustainability, controlling costs, and enhancing college affordability. The program is designed to empower institutions to undertake preliminary, exploratory, or pilot projects that broadly engage the campus community and investigate innovative approaches to cost containment or collaboration. Projects may include awareness-building, convenings, pilot initiatives, strategic planning, and other activities with broad institutional impact. This program is distinct in its exclusive focus on institutional cost, affordability, and financial sustainability—not on teaching, curriculum development, or faculty development.
