The Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation’s President’s Grants support innovative and creative ideas that advance health professions education and may grow into larger, more expansive curricular initiatives. The program seeks to strengthen the healthcare workforce and ultimately improve care for the communities health professionals serve. Projects must align with the Foundation’s priorities: promoting diversity, equity, and belonging; increasing collaboration among health professionals; and preparing health professionals to navigate ethical dilemmas.
The Foundation gives priority to projects in clinical learning environments that directly engage learners and to projects using artificial intelligence in innovative ways to address these priorities. Its interests include education for medical students, residents and fellows, undergraduate and graduate nursing students, and learners in other health professions degree-granting programs.
