Description
The President’s Innovation Fund for International Experiences (PIFIE) provides seed funding to faculty members at any Harvard school to develop creative and significant academic experiences abroad for Harvard College students. Funded through the generosity of David Rockefeller, the program seeks participation across Harvard’s schools—including graduate and professional schools—departments, centers, and other academic units to expand international opportunities for undergraduates.
Supported work may include developing experience-based courses overseas, with coursework before or after the international experience; involving undergraduates in ongoing overseas projects sponsored by Harvard academic units; or creating other innovative international projects. The fund accepts proposals for new program development and implementation, exploratory or planning site visits, and renewal funding for prior award recipients.
