Description
This grant program, part of the Press Forward Vermont initiative at the Vermont Community Foundation, aims to strengthen local news by fostering collaborations between Vermont-based community organizations and local news or information providers. The focus is on building partnerships that reach new audiences, create community-informed content, and pilot innovative models for news delivery and engagement. Projects should expand the capacity of local news outlets, uphold journalistic integrity, and empower Vermonters—especially those in underserved communities—to participate in the local news ecosystem. The program is designed to respond to the challenges facing local journalism and to ensure that local news remains accessible, relevant, and reflective of Vermont's diverse communities.
