Description
This Horizon Europe call funds implementation research on strategies, programs, and policy interventions to prevent, diagnose, screen, and manage chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in children and young people aged 1–24 years. The focus is on projects that address the social determinants of health and target populations in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) or underserved groups in high-income countries (HICs). Proposals should demonstrate robust implementation science, stakeholder engagement (including young people and early career researchers), and a strong equity and sustainability orientation.
Key objectives include generating actionable evidence for policymakers, practitioners, and communities to improve early prevention, risk reduction, and timely diagnosis of NCDs, and to adapt and scale interventions at different levels. Multidisciplinary, participatory approaches and meaningful involvement of affected communities are required.
