Description
This program funds the creation of new community gardens and the expansion of existing ones in Prince George’s County, Maryland (excluding the City of Bowie). The focus is on implementing regenerative agricultural practices, improving food security, supporting the county’s Climate Action Plan, and fostering environmental stewardship. Projects should promote sustainable gardening, community engagement, and equitable access to fresh produce. Both Track 1 (creation/expansion) and Track 2 (mentorship) projects are supported, with a strong emphasis on demonstration value, partnerships, and long-term sustainability.
