Description
The Novo Nordisk Foundation awards this annual prize to recognize teachers who make an exceptional contribution to preparing future primary school science teachers in the Danish Realm. It is for educators teaching nature and technology, physics and chemistry, biology, geography, or mathematics in teacher education at professional colleges.
The principal criterion is an exceptional contribution in at least one of those subjects. The selection committee also considers how nominees motivate and qualify future science teachers, develop and share inspiring teaching methods, collaborate across subjects or educational levels, and strengthen the science learning environment for students and colleagues. Nominees need not meet every criterion.
