    Description

PROBio-LatAm is a joint fellowship program of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB), the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS), and the Pan-American Association for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (PABMB). It supports research visits to established scientists’ laboratories in Europe and neighbouring FEBS countries, providing access to technologies and expertise that may not be readily available at applicants’ home institutions.

The program supports PhD thesis research, experiments requiring specialized techniques, scientific collaboration, and advanced training. Its goals are to strengthen international cooperation, improve the quality and impact of biochemistry and molecular biology research in Latin America, and build molecular life-sciences capacity at home institutions. Preference is given to applications establishing new collaborations.
