Description
Notre Dame Learning offers the Prochaska Fund through the Joe and Gina Prochaska Family Endowment for Excellence to support University of Notre Dame faculty participation in teaching development activities. The program aims to improve faculty members’ communication, presentation, and teaching skills while enhancing classroom pedagogy.
Supported work includes learning about and using new instructional technologies and formats, attending conferences and workshops focused on pedagogy within faculty members’ disciplines, and, where appropriate, receiving one-on-one coaching from qualified experts. Other activities that develop pedagogical expertise or communication and teaching skills are also considered. The fund connects these experiences with reflection on teaching practice through the Kaneb Center and exploration of student-learning assessment with Notre Dame Learning’s Learning Research practice area.
