Funding Amounts: $250–$1,000, covering up to 50% of project expenses with a dollar-for-dollar cash match

Key Information: Applicants must have a UEI and a last-completed-fiscal-year operating budget of $500,000 or less.
Description
South Arts administers these grants with support from the National Endowment for the Arts to strengthen Southern arts organizations through skill and knowledge building. The program supports film, visual arts, performing arts, traditional arts, literary arts, and multidisciplinary organizations seeking greater organizational capacity, long-term sustainability, growth, or operational stability.
Funding supports arts administrators’ and board members’ participation in structured learning through conferences, workshops, and training, including in-person or virtual organization-wide staff and board development. Activities must relate to the organization’s arts programming or services and represent its first participation in the opportunity—not simply a new individual’s attendance. Supported costs include travel, lodging, air and ground transportation, registration or admission, and consultant or service fees for training.
