Key Information: Virtual events are not eligible except for distance MLIS coursework; award is reimbursement only and requires supervisor endorsement.
Description
This program provides financial assistance to library staff from Full Voting member libraries of the Northern New York Library Network (NNYLN) for professional development activities that take place outside their local area. Eligible activities include attending or presenting at conferences, seminars, and workshops; participating in non-local professional or advisory committees; and enrolling in graduate-level library and information science coursework. The grant aims to expand professional engagement beyond home institutions and encourages recipients to share their newly acquired knowledge or skills with the broader North Country library community.
