The Northern New York Library Network’s Professional Development Grant Program provides financial assistance to staff of its Full Voting member libraries for professional development activities that extend beyond their local region or institution. The grant is intended to foster broader engagement, knowledge sharing, and collaboration in the North Country library community by supporting activities such as presenting at conferences or workshops, participating in graduate MLIS coursework, and serving on professional or advisory committees at non-local events. Funding is available for opportunities not accessible locally and not already fully funded by other sources.
Recipients are required to share the knowledge or expertise gained with the North Country library community, which can be fulfilled through presentations, meetups, or other forms of information sharing.
