Description
The Utah Department of Cultural and Community Engagement’s STEM Action Center offers this grant for professional learning shaped by locally identified STEM education needs. It connects public educators with opportunities to develop STEM-based curricula and teaching practices through coaching, mentoring, self-reflection, off-contract work, and professional learning communities.
Projects include a two-year implementation plan and are intended to build teacher leadership, use data to guide decisions, and support long-term change through ongoing learning. Supported work has included teachers preparing for the next school year outside school hours, participation in learning opportunities, summer internships with industry partners, and micro-messaging training.
