The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Program Development Grants (PDG) provide micro-grants to support the strategic activities of SWE organizations, including Sections, Members at Large (MAL), Affiliates, SWENext, and Affinity Groups. The grants are designed to fund innovative, impactful events or programs aligned with SWE’s mission—such as K-12 outreach, professional development, and advocacy initiatives—to advance women in engineering and technology. Funding emphasizes novelty, measurable impact, and demonstrated financial need. All supported activities must be SWE or SWE-affiliate led, with active SWE members as event managers and fiscal authorities. Volunteers working with youth must complete SWE’s Youth Protection training.
