    Description

The Progreso Latino Fund, administered by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, is dedicated to empowering the diverse Latine community in the Greater New Haven region through grantmaking, education, leadership, and cultural initiatives. The fund supports Latine-led or Latine-serving nonprofits that provide wraparound services—such as childcare, elder care, transportation, clothes closets, and diaper banks—to help Latinas enter and remain in the workforce. The Fund does not support job training programs but focuses on removing barriers to employment and promoting economic wellbeing. Guided by an advisory committee from within the Latine community, the Fund seeks to foster philanthropy, advance education, and create positive change for present and future generations.
