Description
The Progreso Latino Fund is a permanent resource at the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, established in 2003 to advance the educational and socioeconomic well-being of the region’s Latine community. Its mission centers on education, leadership, culture and philanthropy, with particular attention to children, youth and young leaders.
The Fund supports charitable programs and services, scholarships and training, leadership-building activities, policy forums and community events. It also celebrates Connecticut Latine leaders and encourages contributions of talent, time and financial resources. In 2025, its grantmaking focused on wraparound support services that help Greater New Haven Latinas enter and remain in the workforce. An independent advisory committee drawn exclusively from the Latine community guides the Fund’s work.
