Key Information: Organizations may apply for either a MAC Project Grant or Operating Grant each year, not both.
Description
The Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) funds arts projects undertaken by arts and community-based groups across the state. Project Grants support four program areas: Arts Based Community Development, Arts Education, Arts Industry, and Folk & Traditional Arts. Projects may bring arts programming into communities, strengthen Pre-K–12 arts learning, engage public audiences through performances or exhibitions, or document and promote Mississippi’s traditional art forms.
MAC seeks projects with artistic quality, public participation and access, community involvement, and clear goals and evaluation plans. Supported activities must take place between July 1 of the award year and June 30 of the following year.
