Project Grants are a main avenue through which the Neurological Foundation supports neurological research led by clinicians and scientists. They fund clinical or biomedical projects addressing a stand-alone research question, or a separate, complementary question within a larger project. Proposals should produce clear outcomes that add to knowledge about diseases and disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems.
The Foundation prioritises impactful research with positive outcomes for people affected by neurological conditions. Impact may include deeper understanding of the nervous system, enabling technologies, changes in clinical practice, and stronger neuroscience capacity through training and collaboration. Research into the pathogenesis of neuropsychiatric and neuropsychological disorders is within scope, but work concerned only with managing mental health disorders is excluded.
