Description
Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity offers Project Management for Indigenous Organizations as an in-person Indigenous Leadership program. Financial assistance helps eligible participants access training that bridges conventional project management and Indigenous wisdom. The program supports leaders, administrators, and service providers developing and managing projects in or with Indigenous communities and organizations, with an emphasis on delivering projects within scope.
Participants explore project initiation, planning, scope, schedules, costs, quality, resources, and risk. A practical business case develops planning skills, alongside sessions on change and performance management, communication, stakeholder engagement, and project monitoring. With guidance from an Elder, participants share traditional and spiritual wisdom, connect with the land and cultural teachings, and build foundations for revitalizing wise practices in their communities.
