Description
The Utah Division of Arts & Museums Project Support Grants provide targeted funding to support three distinct areas: Folk Arts apprenticeships, Creative Aging art programming, and Individual Artist Advancement. Each grant category is designed to strengthen Utah’s cultural landscape by supporting traditional knowledge transfer, creative engagement for older adults, and the professional growth of individual artists.
- Folk Arts: Funds apprenticeships where accomplished mentors from Utah’s ethnic, Native, rural, or occupational communities pass on traditional skills to one or two apprentices.
- Creative Aging: Supports sequential art classes for adults 55+ taught by professional artists, with an emphasis on social engagement and a culminating celebration.
- Individual Artist Advancement: Provides resources for individual artists to access career-advancing opportunities, including professional development, residencies, marketing materials, and necessary equipment.
