Description
The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation’s Proposal Development Award helps nonprofit community organizations develop and submit health-related grant proposals. It supports organizations that lack an on-staff grant writer or the capacity to hire a contract writer. Rather than funding health services directly, the award pays for contracted grant writing, technical assistance and related proposal development work.
The program supports high-quality, effective proposals intended to lead to innovative services that improve community health in Michigan. Recipients use this assistance to seek funding from the BCBSM Foundation, Michigan Health Endowment Fund, local community foundations, Health Resources and Services Administration and other funders. Supported proposals have addressed health care access, food insecurity, mental health, caregiver respite, maternal and child health, disability programs and community well-being.
