Description
Proposal Pre-Review is administered by John Jay College of Criminal Justice’s Office for Advancement of Research (OAR). It supports faculty preparing proposals for submission to an external agency or funding organization by paying for an outside peer review before submission. The program aims to improve proposal quality and increase the likelihood of securing external funding.
The funding supports the review itself, rather than the research or project described in the proposal. Faculty identify a potential reviewer and provide OAR with a summary of the application and the reviewer’s qualifications. The honorarium is paid directly to the reviewer after the completed review is submitted to OAR within the required timeframe.
