Description
The Society for Pediatric Research’s PROSPER Award—Promotion of Fellows’ Pediatric Research—supports fellows from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine who are pursuing child health research. The competitive program combines material support with external mentorship for a one-year project that strengthens an academic, research-focused career trajectory. Supported work includes basic, preclinical, clinical, implementation, and health services research focused on children or adolescents.
The award advances the Society’s mission to cultivate a diverse network of child health researchers through collaboration, community, mentorship, and advocacy. Selection considers commitment to pediatric research, potential to succeed as an academic investigator, mentoring available at the applicant’s institution, and the additional benefit of the award’s mentoring and support.
