    Description

    This programme, under the Pericles IV framework, is dedicated to preventing and combating counterfeiting of euro banknotes and coins by supporting coordinated actions among EU Member States, the European Commission, and relevant international partners. It aims to preserve the integrity of the euro, strengthen public and business trust in the currency, and enhance the resilience of the EU economy. The programme funds a broad range of activities, including staff exchanges, workshops, seminars, targeted training, technical and scientific assistance, operational support, and the purchase of equipment for specialized anti-counterfeiting authorities (including in third countries). Actions can be implemented in the euro area, other EU countries, and internationally.
