Description
The City of Santa Cruz’s Public Event Grant Program provides organizations and individuals with financial support for permitted public events. Administered through Parks & Recreation, it helps cover event-related City fees for gatherings that contribute to community vibrancy, well-being, and pride. Both new and previously held events may qualify.
The program emphasizes benefits to Santa Cruz residents and the City’s Health in All Policies pillars of equity, public health, and sustainability. Priorities include educational activities, opportunities for local businesses, collaboration among community groups, and events that foster social connection and access to healthy environments. When requests exceed available funding, the Public Events Committee ranks eligible applications using the program’s priorities.
