Description
The City of Monterey’s Housing Division offers funding for public service agencies and for public infrastructure and facilities projects that benefit low- and moderate-income residents of Monterey. This program is supported by two main funding streams:
- The federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), which funds community development activities such as affordable housing, public services, and infrastructure improvements.
- The state Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA), which focuses on increasing housing supply, supporting affordable housing development, and providing services for low- and moderate-income households.
The primary aim is to enhance quality of life and address housing and service needs for Monterey’s most vulnerable populations.
