Description
The City of Monterey’s Housing Division provides grant funding to public service agencies and for public infrastructure and facilities projects that benefit low-income residents within the city. Funding is made available through two primary sources: the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and the state Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA). CDBG funds support community development activities such as affordable housing, public services, and infrastructure improvements, while PLHA funding is aimed at increasing housing supply and supporting affordable housing development, including homeless services. The overarching goal is to enhance community services and infrastructure for low- and moderate-income households in Monterey.
