Description
The Kurt Weill Foundation for Music offers Publication Assistance to authors and not-for-profit publishers preparing manuscripts for publication in a recognized scholarly medium. The work must concern Kurt Weill, Lotte Lenya, and/or Marc Blitzstein. Support addresses publication preparation costs—such as editing, indexing, design, and reproduction fees—rather than the costs of conducting new research.
The program is part of the Foundation’s work supporting scholarship connected to these figures. Scholars who previously received a Research and Travel Grant or Dissertation Fellowship may also receive Publication Assistance. Applications are considered under the Foundation’s evaluation procedures by an independent review panel.
