Description
The Publication Assistance Program (PAP) – transfer of rights is run by Institut français to support foreign publishing houses committed to publishing titles translated from French. Focused on the transfer of rights, it helps make contemporary French creation and thought accessible to readers who do not speak French.
The program also supports the programming of French Institutes around the world and their local partners. It complements local Publication Assistance Programs managed by Book Offices, placing its support within a wider network promoting the publication of French authors abroad. Since 1990, these programs together have contributed to the publication of nearly 26,000 titles by French authors in 80 countries.
