Description
The Gerda Henkel Foundation offers publishing aid to bring the results of especially successful Foundation-supported projects into published book form. The programme supports scholarly monographs and edited volumes through either a printing subsidy or funding for Open Access publication costs. It addresses the costs of publishing completed research rather than funding a new research project.
Academic merit and innovativeness are central to the account applicants must provide of their proposed publication. Support is directed specifically toward book-length scholarship: Open Access publication costs for a monograph or collection may be requested, but fees for individual journal articles are not covered.
