Description
The Decorative Arts Trust’s Publishing Grants program is designed to invigorate scholarship and broaden appreciation of material culture, with a focus on the Americas. The program supports impactful publications—both print and digital—that advance the study of American decorative arts and material culture, promote diversity, and disseminate significant art historical research. Two main grant lines are available: (1) Publishing Grants for Collections, Exhibitions, and Conferences, which support book-length publications tied to institutional projects, and (2) Publishing Grants for First-Time Authors, which assist early career scholars with their first book-length publication based on original research.
The initiative is guided by an advisory committee of museum professionals and academics with extensive publishing experience, ensuring support for innovative and inclusive scholarship in the field.
