Description
MRC Equip is a Medical Research Council (MRC) opportunity, run as part of UK Research and Innovation, to build world-class laboratory capability for biomedical research. It supports one piece of capital equipment, which may comprise several components forming a single technology platform. Applicants may establish a new capability or replace existing equipment; research relevant to MRC priority areas is particularly encouraged.
The equipment should meet an unmet research need, complement existing facilities and enable high-quality, novel or transformative research. Proposals should demonstrate demand from a diverse user community and set out plans for shared access, technical support, training and long-term sustainability. Second-hand and beta-testing equipment is permitted when applicants address the associated risk of equipment failure.
