The Quality of Life Lectureship, presented annually by the Oncology Nursing Foundation and sponsored by Memorial Sloan Kettering, honors a distinguished individual who has made significant contributions to understanding and addressing the psychosocial and quality of life dimensions of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and care. The awardee delivers a keynote lecture at the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Congress, sharing insights and inspiration with a large audience of oncology professionals. Since its inception in 1982 as the Mara Mogensen Flaherty Memorial Lecture, this lectureship has served as a platform for thought leaders in oncology nursing to explore the emotional, psychological, and social challenges faced by patients and healthcare providers, advancing holistic cancer care.
