The Oncology Nursing Foundation’s Quality of Life Lectureship honors an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the psychosocial aspects of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and care. Established in 1982 (originally as the Mara Mogensen Flaherty Memorial Lecture), this annual award recognizes a leader who inspires the oncology community through research, practice, or advocacy that improves the quality of life for cancer patients, families, and professionals. The selected lecturer delivers a keynote address at the ONS Congress®, reaching an audience of over a thousand oncology nurses and professionals.
