    Description

Quick Support for Artists provides more quickly accessible funding for individual artists through the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council (SMAC). All arts disciplines are accepted, and artists at any career stage may apply. Artist-focused projects can support creating new work, sharing existing work, or artistic and professional development through classes, workshops, conferences, or study with a mentor.

Community-focused projects connect artists with their communities to help participants experience art in new ways and develop artistic knowledge, skills, and understanding. Supported activities include purchasing supplies or project-related equipment, framing or recording work, developing portfolios or websites, and small artist-led community projects. The program receives support from the McKnight Foundation and Minnesota’s arts and cultural heritage fund.
