Description
This opportunity supports the Regionally Aligned Priorities in Developing Skills (“RAPIDS”) initiative, making strategic investments in equipment and facilities at Ohio’s postsecondary institutions to enhance workforce development and drive regional economic growth. The program aims to address in-demand occupations and industry needs by fostering collaboration among higher education institutions, Ohio Technical Centers, independent colleges, and local businesses. Projects should focus on technician-aligned pathways, advanced manufacturing, broadband/5G, cybersecurity, healthcare, and construction trades, among other sectors.
Proposals are expected to demonstrate meaningful regional collaboration, strong business partnerships, and sustainability beyond the grant period. Each participating region must submit coordinated proposals through eligible fiscal agents, with subawardees included in the planning and implementation.
