Description
The Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office (NDOT-HSO) offers the Radars mini-grant to help law enforcement agencies in priority counties acquire radar units for speed enforcement. It is part of a mini-grant program for specific purchases or activities lasting no longer than 30 days.
Applicants identify roadways where excess speed is a traffic problem. Agencies may purchase units through the State Contract or provide a competitive bid for units purchased outside it. Recipients must use the equipment during the current grant period to support the program’s speeding-related fatality target and report the activity it generates for three years.
