Description
The RADIAN initiative, a partnership between Gilead Sciences and the Elton John AIDS Foundation, is dedicated to combating the ongoing HIV epidemic in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA)—the only region where AIDS-related deaths are still rising. RADIAN supports innovative care models, expanded prevention programs, and community-led healthcare solutions to reduce new HIV infections and AIDS-related deaths. The program operates through several streams, including Model Cities, the Unmet Need Fund, and new challenge funds focused on innovation, equity, and scaling proven interventions.
RADIAN emphasizes local leadership, community empowerment, and partnerships to address the most urgent needs, including stigma reduction, improved access to care, and support for marginalized populations.
