Description
The Radiology Resident Research Grant, administered by SIR Foundation, fosters residents’ interest in research by supporting projects in areas the foundation identifies as important to advancing interventional radiology and patient care. It supports project-related supplies and equipment for residents conducting summer research that tests a new idea or explores a new area or direction in the specialty.
The program combines resident-led investigation with mentorship from a designated scientific advisor. It contributes to SIR Foundation’s goals of advancing scientific knowledge, increasing the number of skilled investigators, and developing innovative therapies that improve patient care and quality of life. SIR and SIR Foundation also emphasize inclusion and strengthening interventional radiology through different perspectives.
