Key Information: Applicants must already be established in or serving Shiloh and South Buncombe communities.
The Ramble Charitable Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, supports projects that improve quality of life in designated Buncombe County communities. It funds programmatic needs, capital needs, and operating expenses in education, economic development, health care, and other community development work, including the arts and quality-of-life projects.
Projects should benefit the wider designated communities rather than primarily the Ramble community and its residents. Requests demonstrating the greatest community benefit receive the highest consideration. Routine annual requests for operating support may receive lower priority. The Fund’s advisory committee reviews proposals with Foundation staff, considering program priorities, available resources, applicants’ capabilities, and potential community benefits.
